backup + dropbox

Hi there,

I've been using Snippets almost every day for more than 2 years and
never done a backup so far. I'm using an old version (0.7.4.1) and
there is nothing in the Library/Application Support, as explained in
other posts. Could you tell me how to do a backup?

After doing the backup, I'll update to the latest version. I'd like
then to put it on dropbox so that my colleague can use it in sync with
me. Can you tell me what should I do, and not do, to have Snippets
work 100% with dropbox?

You should be able to see the location of you Snippets.xml by executing the following command

defaults read com.snippetsapp.Snippets SASnippetsLibraryURL

Just curious, with the

defaults read com.snippetsapp.Snippets SASnippetsLibraryURL

I get

The domain/default pair of (/Users/la/Library/Preferences/
com.snippetsapp.Snippets.plist, SASnippetsLibraryURL) does not exist

Any idea why?

Try to run 

defaults read com.snippetsapp.Snippets

and see if the something similar to that. I'm not sure if in this old version we had this variable in defaults.

I know this is old, but I use automator -> ical -> dropbox for weekly backups of my Snippets xml document. See this article:
