Hello,
I am trying to compile sniper on mac osx. Unfortunately, i receive errors
I want to use sniper for Thermal aware simulation of CMP multi-core architectures, using its output to be converted by bash programming to be used in hotspot tool.
I have downloaded pin-2.12-58423-clang.4.2-mac

i am newbie on linux scripting and never used this commands before.

I would appreciate it, if somebody helps me about.

this is errors:

Mehdi,

Unfortunately, we do not currently support running Sniper on Mac OS X. If you would like to get started quickly, I would suggest using a virtual machine (something like VirtualBox) and installing the latest version of Ubuntu and Pin there. At that point you shouldn't have much trouble getting Sniper running. If you do, feel free to contact us again.

One other note, to use the most recent version of Pin (version 58423 in Linux), download and apply this patch [1]. It will be contained in the next Sniper release. If you would prefer to use an older Pin version without needing to apply a patch, you could download one that works with Sniper 5.0 directly [2] as well.

Trevor
