Wafa,
Currently, we are able to support multilib (package g++-multilib) 32-bit installations of Sniper on 64-bit hosts. There are a few problems with running Sniper on 32-bit hosts directly. We will take a look at this and see what we can do.

Wafa,
I just was looking at the 32-bit architecture support, and things are working better than I originally thought. It looks like I was mixing the 64-bit libraries on the 32-bit machine on my end, and that caused a compilation failure. I was able to compile the 32-bit version after setting the TARGET_ARCH=ia32 in Makefile.config. Also, I can run the basic fft example in test/fft. (cd test/fft ; make run). Note that we do not support x87 floating point timing estimation, and therefore applications that use those floating point operations will not have with an accurate timing result. We haven't had much use for x87 floating point as most applications we use compile on 64-bit and use SSE instructions.
Could you edit your sniper/Makefile.config file, run 'make distclean', and recompile Sniper? That should clean up the 64-bit copy of Python and it will grab a new 32-bit copy for you. Please tell us if there are any bugs that you run into. I've updated the configuration to automatically select the 32-bit version of Sniper when you are running on a 32-bit host, but that patch won't be pushed out until Sniper 3.04.
