I am fairly new to sniper and need help with regard to how to change between these cache coherency protocols such as MSI, MESI and MESIF.

Hi
you have to use --replacement_policy=msi for MSI or others the same.

But will this work? Because MSI, MESI, MESIF are cache coherence protocols and not replacement policies.

I am so sorry that i mislead you. You are absolutely right. For your desired option please look into sim.cfg and find msi. You should use that option equal any one of your coherence protocol in the simulation command and see the results. The correct way for using options is in the manual of Sniper Simulator.

Best
Ahmad
