PIN 2.12 (latest version) error

Hi All,

I tried to compile latest Sniper with new PIN ( 56759 - Jan 20, 2013 ) but it breaks.

I guess PIN has made couple of changes in its directory structure causing it. I tried to fix it I could fix one or two but it keep getting stuck at some error so I rolled back to previous PIN release. 
I am just putting this out there so if anybody gets stuck doesn't have to waste time like me until we get Sniper patched for that version of PIN.

Hi Digant,

You're right, the latest Pin release made significant changes into how
Pintools (and thus Sniper) should be built. We have not ported our
build infrastructure to this new way, and in fact, it looks like the
next version of Pin will bring some more changes, so we'll probably
await those before porting.

Please use Pin build 55942 for now.

I hate to revive an old thread but I'm running into the same problem with the latest pin. However, when I go to the current download site I only see 3 versions of pin available for download: 56759, 49306, and 45467. Two of these versions are too old and the other is too new and no others are available. Could someone point me to where I can get some version that will work with sniper?

Thanks for figuring this out. I've asked the Pin developers to restore
the link. The next Pin version should be out shortly, and they
promised a reworked build system, but a version of Sniper that
supports this is probably a few more weeks out.
