Pin app terminated abnormally due to signal 11

Hello,

I could used sniper until 19/Jun/2017, but abruptly sniper could not work from 21/Jun.
I got the error message as followed.
My simulation environment is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and use pin:2.14-71313.

1)Pin app terminated abnormally due to signal 11.
2)ERROR: Could not establish SIFT connection, aborting! Check benchmark-app*.log for  errors.

I was wondering if you could let me know why this error comes about and the way for fixed this issue.
I rebuilt the sniper, but issue was not fixed.

I have Sniper as a module in a project and after i downloaded the latest upload from the 16.04 LTS Updater i got the same pin error

1)Pin app terminated abnormally due to signal 11.

I have the same problem. I have been doing both simulations with sniper and creating region pinballs with pinplay kit. And it was all working fine until a couple of days ago. But suddenly nothing works anymore!

Linux was updated today, so Sniper could work.

We are facing the same issue on Ubuntu 14.04 and we haven't fixed it yet. Is it possible to point out which Linux update you did fixed the problem? Thank you very much!

Nevermind. It is today's Linux kernel update which does the trick.

try to add “--pinplay-addr-trans” knob in the run-sniper command line. it may make difference.
