"Challengers" - May 19th

Join the Boston Sunday Night Film Club this Sunday, May 19th at 6:45p for Challengers at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Look for Sean wearing a nametag in the theatre lobby about 15 minutes before the film. As always, after the film we will descend on a local establishment for dinner/drinks/discussion.

Tennis player turned coach Tashi (Zendaya) has taken her husband, Art (Mike Faist), and transformed him into a world-famous grand slam champion.

To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a "Challenger" event -- close to the lowest level of pro tournament -- where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend (Josh O'Connor). Directed by Luca Guadagnino.
