Next Steps

1) All cores, send your relevant minutes of meet on this thread.

2) The head should also store all these minutes

3) The head will need to form the 2 google groups by today (one shall have current cores, prev cores, gen sec, cocas as members and the other group will have only the present cores).

4) @Sai Tejo - I shall send you the contacts by tonight.

5) I shall sharing with you all the links and docs from previous year.

Hello all!
I am sure you guys are enjoying your summer vacation.
I just wanted to know if you guys have any suggestions or something to add about the Summit. The conference thing can wait till we meet Prof Chella.
You guys can check about the Rio Summit and also the MIT sustainability summit which has been happening since 4 years. These are very few summits of this kind at a university or college level. So it would be great if you can pitch in a few ideas.

Really sorry in the delay. Got a little tied up with work.
I am still on the look out for other summits which are happening in other universities and also at international organizations for tie ups. Will soon keep you posted via sending a doc with all the relevant details.

The PPT is good content wise. But it would be great if you could present it using more figures and smart art etc. Also, please do not use complete sentences in the PPT. You can explain points.

Here are some suggestions/questions which need to be addressed before this goes forward:

1) In the 'aims' slide, you seem to have restricted the summit target audience only to students. Try changing that.

2) Also write about 'Gain for companies, profs and others who are contributing to the summit' apart from students and institute.

3) More details are required regarding each of the events that you have proposed so that an outside person can understand the aims and deliverables of the event.

4) Since the summit is going to be student-run, the ppt must also contain details reg the organisational structure and the way the event is going to be conducted etc etc.

5) Very Important one: Mention the prospective groups with whom you are going to collaborate with in conducting the summit ,i.e, Snet-Shaastra, Snet- IITM, Snet- Alumni , only Snet 

Try to incorporate the above, Merin's pointers and send the revised ppt asap.

Once the ppt is complete, your next steps will be tentatively these

May 29th - June 15th ( Since you told you ll be visiting Chella on May 29th)

1) Present conf + summit ppt to Chella. Finalise on conference. Get suggestions reg summit.

2) Present summit ppt to Shaastra CoCAS, discuss possibility of conduction during Shaastra.

3) Present the above to DoS. Get suggestions on both. Request for support as well.

Finalise on the basic structure and timeline of both conf and summit.
