Hi
This is Ramzan Imam from Surveying Systems Pakistan. I want to know which SurvCE Version we can use to connect EMLID Reach RS+ for Survey. As I have SurvCE Version 6 and there is no option of Emlid in Manufacturer list. If possible kindly share the link of the web from where I can download that version.
Dear Andrew
Thanks a lot for your valuable reply.
I have got very useful information through your reply.
I want to confirm you the procedure in mentioned thread is to connect with Rover only and for NTRIP.
We want to run Reach RS+ on Lora Radio as a Base and Rover with SurvCE. But there is no option of Emlid in Base Mode in SurvCE or SurvPC.
Emlid option is available in Rover Mode only.
Thanks a lot
if you are familiar with Field Genius that is great. We can use FG. Can you please make a video of Base and Rover Setup in Field Genius by connecting Reach RS+.
We want to run it on Lora Radio not with NTRIP procedure.
again, I do not use SurvCE/PC, but if like FieldGenius, you will NOT have to do any set up with the BASE in SurvCE/PC. Just in ReachView. The ROVER is the only thing you need to set up in SurvCE/PC by simply following the DOCS. You should also contact Carlson Survey for further help too.
Did the firmware update solve your problem? I was curious which version of SurvCe you were running. I remember a number of years back Carlson had Emlid on their list of supported GNSS hardware. If I remember correctly, they listed V5 and later releases as being supported. Currently, Emlid is not even listed
STONEX SurvCE is a customized version of the worldwide well known Carlson SurvCE, dedicated to the STONEX GNSS receivers and Total Stations.
The current Release is mostly dedicated to the advanced features of STONEX S10 GNSS, such as corrections due to tilted measurements and E-Bubble facility.
Any Survey work has never been so safe and accurate before the introduction of STONEX S10 used with SurvCE: every point is stored only if the receiver is exactly in the vertical position, no positioning error can accidentally be stored!
SurvCE is available in more than two dozen languages. These include: English, Spanish, French, Canadian French, Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, simplified Chinese, Korean, Greek, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Swedish, Latvian and more.

Carlson SurvCE is a complete data collection system for Real Time (RTK) GPS and Total Stations with in-field coordinate geometry. It supports the widest range of popular and new release RTK GPS and conventional/ robotic total stations.
The Carlson SurvCE 4.0 upgrade was released on June 15, 2014. For those moving from any SurvCE 2.0 versions to 4.0, the cost is $300. The price for 4.0 for those upgrading from an initial purchase of SurvCE 3.0 over this past year is $150. Literally 100s of enhancements have been built into SurvCE 4.0, which continues to be upgraded throughout the year.
SurvCE supports staking offsets on a skew angle and provides the option to stake offset intersections and bisectors at angle points and the radius or PI point of an arc without leaving the Stake Line/Arc routine.
It is recommended to use the custom Socket Mobile Bluetooth Drakar stack version 6.3.17 drivers with the Carlson SurvCE software on the Allegro CX Field PC. These custom drivers allow the Carlson SurvCE software to bond with Bluetooth devices that require a security passkey (but also seem to help even when no passkey is required). These drivers can be downloaded from the Allegro CX Field PC Downloads Webpage.
If you are having issues with the Bluetooth "B" icon disappearing from the bottom-right system tray, Bluetooth devices not staying connected to SurvCE (frequently dropping connection), the name of the Bluetooth device continuously disappearing from the "Bluetooth Devices" window in SurvCE (requiring you to again bond with the device each time), or the Bluetooth device name is in the "Bluetooth Devices" window but you cannot connect to it, then you may need to set the Allegro to factory defaults. Loading the Socket Bluetooth 6.3.17 drivers can prevent such issues from occurring in the future, but do not resolve issues that are already occurring unless installed after setting the Allegro to factory defaults and before again using the "Bluetooth Devices" screen in SurvCE to bond with the Bluetooth device.
The new version of the software includes several new features and enhancements, and introduces a new optional paid Hybrid+ module that allows users to survey using both a GPS receiver and a total station in the same project.
SurvCE 6.0 provides the ability to use Google, Open Street, or Esri maps as a backdrop. Some icons in the shooting window have also been improved. The tool status icon is now available on all screens, showing connection status and fixed position, and the Search icon now offers all available search options.
A module for SurvCE version 6 software enables surveying with mixed brands of GNSS receivers and total stations. SurvCE is a data-collection software package from Carlson Software. SurvPC Hybrid + provides driver support for numerous devices, allowing the surveyor to interface with both types.
Follow Me. An alternative to optical tracking, Follow Me continuously turns the total station towards the prism using the location as determined using GNSS. This eliminates stray reflectors and lengthy searches.
Smart Staking. With smart staking, it will no longer be necessary to maintain optical tracking during stakeout. Stakeout directions are kept fresh using the GNSS receiver as the surveyor approaches a stakeout point. When close to the point, the total station will automatically turn and lock on the prism for the final staking precision needed.
Hybrid-Resection. Easy hybrid-resection allows for setup anywhere using positions determined using GNSS to calculate the total station occupied point and orientation. Measurements from the GPS and total station are time-synchronized for an accurate and simple one-tap resection measurement.
Easy Setup Wizard. The easy setup wizard walks users through setup using auto-localization, hybrid resection or hybrid localization, then finishes with a cross-check for quick project start.
