Save Sent Messages Automatically in Yahoo! Mail

To have Yahoo! Mail keep copies of messages you send in the Sent folder:

* Select Options | Mail Options in Yahoo! Mail
* Go to the General category.
* Make sure Save a copy of the message in the Sent folder is checked.
* Click Save Changes.

Save Sent Messages Automatically in Yahoo! Mail Classic

To automatically put any outgoing message in the Yahoo! Mail Classic Sent folder:

* Follow the Mail Options link on the Yahoo Mail navigation bar.
* Select General Preferences.
* Now make sure Save your sent messages in the Sent Items folder. is checked.
o You can find this option under Inbox/Folders.
* Click Save.


Block a Sender in Yahoo! Mail

To have Yahoo! Mail delete all mail from a particular address automatically:

* Select Options | Mail Options... in Yahoo! Mail.
* Go to the Spam category.
* Type the unwanted email address under Add a blocked address:.
* Click Add.
* Now click Save Changes.

Block a Sender in Yahoo! Mail Classic

To add an email address to the list of blocked senders in Yahoo! Mail Classic:

* Follow the Mail Options link in the top navigation bar.
* Select Block Addresses, which you can find under Management.
* Enter the email address you want to be blocked under Add Block.
* Select Add Block.
* Select Yes to set the block.


Set Up a Vacation Auto-Reply in Yahoo! Mail

To have Yahoo! Mail reply to emails automatically while you're out of the office:

* Select Options | Mail Options... in Yahoo! Mail.
* Go to the Vacation Response category.
* Make sure Enable auto-response during your vacation is checked.
* Specify your auto-responder's start and end date under Auto-respond from and up until (and including) respectively.
* Type the desired response you wish to be sent to all incoming mail under Message.
o It's good to include a note on when you expect to be back — and be able to respond personally.
* Click Save Changes.

To set up a custom vacation auto-response in Yahoo! Mail Classic:

* Select Options from the to Yahoo! Mail navigation bar.
* Select Vacation Response (under Management).
* Specify the start and end date of the auto-responder under Start Date: and End Date:.
* Enter the message to be sent in response to all incoming mail under Generic Response.
o You can also specify another message that will be sent in reply to mails from up to two special domains, for example that of your employer.


Find All Unread Messages in Yahoo! Mail Classic

To find all unread messages in all your Yahoo! Mail Classic folders:

* Select Search Mail from the Yahoo! Mail navigation bar.
* Follow the Advanced Search link.
* As the search criterion, specify: To, Cc, Bcc: contains.
* Type "." (without quotes) in the entry field that follows contains.
* Next, make sure Search is selected under Options:.
* Select Only Unread Messages from the drop-down menu.
* Select all your folders under Look in folders:.
o You may want to keep the Sent folder unchecked.
* Eventually, click Search.


Set Up Your Yahoo! Mail Signature

To set up an email signature in Yahoo! Mail:

* Select Options | Mail Options in Yahoo! Mail (near the top right corner of your Yahoo! Mail screen)
* Go to the Signature category.
* Make sure Show a signature on all outgoing messages is selected.
* Enter the desired email signature.
* Click Save Changes.

To create a signature in Yahoo! Mail Classic:

* Select Mail Options from the Yahoo! Mail navigation bar
* Follow the Signature link (under Personalization).
* Enter the desired signature in the text field.
