The latest (October) NetGuide has an article on NZ focused online
auctions and classifieds. They list over over 30 such sites but detail
"The Big Six" - TradeMe, Zillion, Trade and Exchange, Sell Me Free,
Search4 Group and Herald Classifieds Online. Trade and Exchange and
Sell Me Free would seem to be running a free service, whether for
buying or selling. Two unacknowledged "elephants in the room" are eBay
and Craigs List. I, for one, have been able to buy registered software
on eBay, at a good price, that has never appeared on TradeMe. Anyway,
the point is that TradeMe is not the only source nor, apparently, the
cheapest.
