Concerns over sanitary fittings

Hi All,
Has anyone checked the sanitary fittings samples brought? I have not
checked personally but few guys who visited site recently have raised
concern over the quality and the type of sanitary fittings got for the
apartment. Feedback from the guys who visited site is that Sanitary
fittings are of very basic model. As per commitments we had been
promised of Parry ware/Hind ware fittings and Juguar Shower./Taps
etc. Kindly update the group if anyone has talked to the builders
regarding sanitary items quality in case of any concerns?

Hi All,

I have checked the sanitary items..Also me and Sanjay were discussing
regarding that.
The Sanitary items are below standard and its basic model of Hindware.
The Shower and most of the fittings are not from jaguar/ss.
Only one Master tapes are from Jaguar.
Can anybody please visit site and check those things?
Another concern is the pocesson date. Till now many of the works are
pending.
Does anybody has any other concern...

Hi All,
Here is latest update on sanitary fittings
We all met at apartment today morning and we observed that basic
commode toilet fitted at 105 house looks quite small and other
sanitary fittings look OK.
After discussing with the builder, we are given option to choose the
different commode at differential cost from the same hardware shop
where builder gets the sanitary fittings.
We all around 10 people going today afternoon at 2 PM to the hardware
shop and order the model which meets our requirement. If anybody
interested to change your commode or any luxurious bath fittings ,
please contact builder as they have to order them in bulk.

Here is latest update on sanitary fittings

we all around 8 guys went to the shop on 30th afternoon and selected
the different model of commode/Sink as per our need. We have to pay
the differential cost extra if we want to have other sanitary
fittings. what we get from builder are basic model of wash basin and
sleek commode in plain white color. we thought cleaning would be bit
difficult in white color models so we have selected ivory/cream
color fittings which cost more than white color models so we payed the
differential cost. If you are only changing color then cost is within
2500 rs. If you plan to go with different model then cost varies from
Rs 5000 to 12000 rs extra based on model. Hope this helps .

  one quick question regarding the tapes and shower fittings.
Did you guys verify if the products are from Jaguar?

yes, they are from Jaquar for all the other fittings including in kitchen.

But when i checked the flat 005 where they have connected the fitting the shower is not from Jaquar. Only the wall mixture and the tap for wash basine from Jaquar. Not sure again they have changed the fitting after my last visit.

oh ok. i didnt check the shower, i have seen the other wall mixture unit and taps for wash basin and in kitchen. i am not sure about the shower.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your updates,  We have visited the flat couple of times and changed few Sanity fittings..  Mahaveer Hardware guy said, that they have sent all our sanity fittings  to our flats, If we don't inform to builders in advance, they go with basic model, Whomever wants to change sanity fittings, please go and change ur Sanity at the earliest. 

i have few concerns on below things, please provide your inputs/clarifications if you guys faced the same.

1.  We checked with Grill Contractor for grills... We are planning to extend a grill  1 or 2 inches in Balcony , It seems our Building contractor is not letting us to do ....They are saying we should not extend grill it seems.. Any guys faced the same? Share your inputs..... What's the problem with builder if we extend our grills in our own flats?

2.  Do they provide any additional taps for toilet apart from Hand shower? We have not noticed any provision for the same..

3. Builders saying they can provide Electricity by 2nd week of September only which is too far when they commited for July last week? 

We need to go and speak to them as a group, then only they'll be providing some firm dates .. Please share your thoughts on this.

Hi Rajaram,

Regarding the Balcony Grill i am agree with your view. 1 or 2 inch
extend of Balcony Grill should be acceptable by anybody and i dont
think Builder should interfere on this.

If required we all can meet any discuss with Builder on this. Being
the owner of the Flat we must have this authority :)
