Just wanted to check what are the formalities that we need to do post registration. i can think of

1.) Khatha transfer
2.) Water & Electricity connection transfer

When should we do these things from builder's name to our name? Will the builders initiate this or we have to do this on our own?

Are there any other things that we need to take care of?

Hi Praveen,

Govt has made Electrical RR number mandatory for any Gas connection
Transfer of address. So in order to change our GAS connection to New
apartment Address we need Electrical BILL RR number. To Transfer
Electric meter to our name we need at least one Bill to be generated
with builder name then we can transfer this to our name.

Regarding Khatha transfer , at least if 20 people who have completed
registration are ready, then we can approach builder. Builders have
informed us that they will call agent to the apartment and we can
negotiate the price (if done collectively).

you are right prabhu. we need to get the electrical RR number for our gas connection to be transferred to the new address. Also it is best to transfer the khata from builders name to our name at the earliest.
we are 25 ppl in this group and if every one gives a heads up, we can do the khatha transfer.

To transfer the GAS connection we dont need Electrical RR number. We need to provide the Sale deed copy as address proof. Electricity bill can be submitted with in 4 months. I transfered my gas connection(Bharat Gas).
