AudioMon mute behaviour

Hello,

I'm currently using Volume² to display a volume OSD, but I'd like to start using Snarl for this (via AudioMon).

I have set up my volume hotkeys in a way so that any volume changes will not affect the current mute status (muted or unmuted).

For instance, if the sound is muted and the volume is subsequently adjusted (+ or -), the sound will remain muted.

However, AudioMon incorrectly assumes that whenever the volume is changed, it will automatically become unmuted (as is the case with most out-of-the-box volume hotkeys) and will display the normal "unmuted" icon in the notification.

Notice how the mute status is correctly displayed by Volume² (and the default Windows tray icon, for that matter).

Is there anything that could be done about this?
