Hey everyone,

My Project needs an in-place editor and SnapEditor looks perfect. The project needs to be able to allow users to upload images and crop/resize them client side, with the selection area parameters applied to the original image, and not the 'scaled' one they are interacting with. It seems SnapEditor will be releasing this functionality soon.

Is there a 'guesstimate' on when it will be ready? Are there any videos available that show the current status of the functionality?

I would HATE to go with an inferior solution, only to find out immediately after SnapEditor released with what we need. :)

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

We're currently reworking the image feature and resizing is on the list. Cropping however is not. If that is critical for you, then you may need to wait a bit.

We don't have any videos to show this off but the resizing should be a handle on the image itself that you can drag.

As for an ETA, we're looking at it being in the next version or the one after.

Cheers,
Wesley

Resizing is indeed a crucial feature, alongside with being able to aling the images to left, right and center. Cropping can and should be done by either a container div on the client-side, or on server side, if neccessary - so I don't think that functionality should be implemented in SE itself.

Hi,

Thanks for the extra input. When referring to aligning images left and right, are you talking about floating left and right or simply aligning left and right?

Cheers,
Wesley
