As Salam u alaikum:
I have extracted the SNAP2.4 zip file . Included the snap-core , glib-core , snap-adv directories into include directories under VC++ Directories . The Character Set is also set for Multi Byte .

Following are the errors when i include the "Snap.h" in my project .

Error 1 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl ExeStop(char const *,char const *,char const *,char const *,int const &)" (?ExeStop@@YAXPBD000ABH@Z) referenced in function "public: __thiscall TCRef::~TCRef(void)" (??1TCRef@@QAE@XZ) c:\Users\user\documents\visual studio 2013\Projects\Snaap_Test\Snaap_Test\Source.obj Snaap_Test

Error 2 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "private: static class TRStr * __cdecl TStr::GetRStr(char const *)" (?GetRStr@TStr@@CAPAVTRStr@@PBD@Z) referenced in function "public: __thiscall TStr::TStr(char const *)" (??0TStr@@QAE@PBD@Z) c:\Users\user\documents\visual studio 2013\Projects\Snaap_Test\Snaap_Test\Source.obj Snaap_Test

It's been long time, but I just got the same error having done the same process, as you described. May I ask if you figure out what the problem is?
Thanks

I solved this problem in this way:
1. As the tutorial told,  add “snap-core”, “glib-core” and “snap-adv” in your project
2. Character set must be configured to Multi-Byte
3. Find two files “Snap.h" ,  "Snap.cpp"  in ../snap6.0 (or 5.0, decided on your snap version)/snap-core and add them to your project manually. (This step is not included in the tutorial, but it's important!)
Your Visual Studio Project Structure like this:
Project---
               header files----
                                        Snap.h
               source files----
                                         main.cpp
                                         Snap.cpp
