Subject: PhysTEC teacher in residence position

UC Davis was recently awarded a PhysTEC grant ( http://www.phystec.org/) which will allow us to develop a program to actively encourage physics students to explore careers in secondary education.  We are currently looking for a Teacher in Residence to work with this program.    The Teacher-in-Residence must have substantial recent high school physics teaching experience and will be responsible for working with the MAST physics learning assistant program, leading physics education seminars, and developing a program to encourage physics majors to explore secondary teaching as a career.

I have attached a preliminary search letter.  Would you please forward it to your membership?  The Teacher in Residence position is a wonderful opportunity for physics teachers (current teachers and recent retirees) and I want to make sure that everyone interested has an opportunity to apply.

Thank you for your help.
