hi dear,
can i simulation core-shell particles on substrate in smuthi and calculate scattering cross section and dipole & quadrupole electric and magnetic resonance ?

Hi Hamideh,

I believe that is in principle possible. There is a particle type "LayeredSpheroid", and a layered sphere is a special case of a layered spheroid. Probably you need to provide a list of refractive indices, a list of half axes lengths in c-direction and a list of half axes lengths in a-direction. @Krzysztof, do you have any comment on this?

Multipole analysis (electric and magnetic dipoles and quadrupoles) of the scattered signal is also possible, thanks to Konstantin's and Alexey's work. See this application example.

it is possible to simulate layered spheroids (see
https://gitlab.com/AmosEgel/smuthi/-/blob/master/smuthi/particles.py#L290).
