How much impact does Ram have....

Got an MBP, Lion 4GB Ram.

Some little extras running (Alfred, QuickCal, all the iCloud background things, a fair few extensions in Safari....)

How much difference would extra Ram make? I see the beach ball/pizza wheel now and then (loading Safari etc) so it's okay, and performance isn't sluggish... but would it be noticeable better?

And if so, is there anywhere cheaper than crucial? (with same quality?)

With 4GB RAM installed already, you'd get more of a speed boost either disabling unnecessary extensions in Safari, using Google Chrome, or replacing the boot drive with an SSD drive.
