MacBook Battery

Morning all,

My trusty old 2009 MacBook’s battery seems to failing ‘cause charge drops like a stone – from full to empty in not much more than half an hour. The thing is though, the System Report says that battery condition is “normal”. So before I go to the expense and hassle of installing a new battery, is there anything else that could be going wrong?

Thoughts anybody?

I wouldn't expect to find anything other than fatigue after ten years and with this behaviour but you could try an SMC reset just in case...
