Smuggers,
I’ve been with the group some years now. My needs are small and I don’t have much of a call on the other group members BUT I do appreciate reading the solutions to every one elses’ problems, suggested software etc. etc. and that works well for me.
Putting faces to names is all very well but you never know?…. you might be disappointed!!
I don’t want software developers trying to sell their wares to me so that wouldn’t be an incentive. Paying a small annual subscription is a positive disincentive (Scottish roots!) in my opinion.
I feel happy with the group. We all seem like friends in any event whether we know what each looks like or not.
It is a very good Mac group and I doubt you’d find better. Some talented guys and gals on here whcih is fantastic.
We have our resident in-house genius (Sam) so what else do we need.
If it ‘aint broke don’t mend it springs to mind!
Just my opinion of course…….and by the way for those wondering……….I look like Brad Pitt !!!

I agree totally with the points Tony makes, though, like Gilly, I was sad when photos were banned.

Hi guys,
I've been member for years and I never met anyone from here but I always check for solutions and more than once I sent some questions around with hardware, purchase or softwares issues. I think this group is great always someone comes out with some kind of solution or advice what is great better than go the "MacGenius I queue for an hour and I'm scare how much are you going to charge me" :) .Slowly I'm loosing more and more my confident in Apple with their new ways of trying to get more money from us than actually spent more time developing and creating more interesting projects (Iphone 5a b c h j....) boring keeping my Iphone 4s.
Anyway guys this group is the best Mac group and thanks for keeping it alive.
