Having updated to Mountain Lion (very smooth and pleased!) but I think there's a bug in Calendars.

Previously, I could hit Cmd E to edit an event, and then put some meeting notes in, hit Escape and they'd all be saved. Now, if I press Escape, it gets as far as asking if I want to save it for 'this entry or all' but never actually saves.

Now, the only way to do that is to click Done.

I'd rather not have to use the trackpad at all. Is there a keyboard command to ensure Done is selected and the changes saved? It used to be Cmd D before Lion, but that was changed to duplicate!!

HELP!

Thanks all

When editing calendar items I just hit cmd + W to close the modal window, always saves for me.

REally? not here.

when I'm in the modal window to edit, that keystroke doesn't do anything? and if I look in File>Close, it's greyed out??

am I missing something?!?!

Ah I do cmd + i to get into on the calendar entry, then edit it there.

THanks! That works!

I hope they smooth out the other bug though. Technically, I was doing it the right way as I was invoking the edit option!

Thanks again chap

Just for closure... I've found one can either use Sam's Cmd i method, or Cmd E to edit, make the changes, Cmd E to save them, and SPACE BAR to make the modal window vanish!

Discovered in complete error, when I dropped my book on the space bar.

Perfick!

Now works as it should - having used odd combinations of Esc in Lion, after they tweaked the SLeopard system!

Always on our toes with Apple!
