iPhone calendar issue - items saved on calendar on phone not icloud

Hello

Happy Friday everyone.

My dad has got himself in a bit of a mess with his calendars. He has iCloud all set up nicely between his iMac, iPhone and iPad. But somehow he managed to create a large number of calendars on his phone. He has then been creating events in those calends - quite a lot of them - which of course aren’t syncing on his other machines to his consternation.

Is there a way I can easily move these events into his iCloud calendars before removing them?

in 10.14 onwards you can merge calendars in the Calendar app. You can also export all calendar items to a .ics file, then import that back into the iCloud calendar and delete the other calendars.

Does that work on iOS? The calendars are on the iPhone only.

Ah no that’s for macOS. There’s no way of automating it on iOS I’m afraid. You could plug in with iTunes (pre-Catalina) and see if it’ll merge calendars with the Mac.
