External monitor recommendations?

Hello all

We're fortunate enough to have a 5k iMac at home and MBPro for me in the office. Both have fantastic screens.

I plug MPB in to an old'ush hp Pavillion 27" widescreen, great in its day but night and day in comparison. Image is quite pixelated and I find my eyes really tiring.

Any external monitor recommendations, please? Really don't want to spend much, but just a bright, sharp, clear macOS friendly display if poss.

I have a very very old Apple Cinema display (LCD 1st gen)  but that is also just not quite sharp enough for Catalina.

Thoughts (apart from Specsavers!?)

The 27” display is probably 1920x1080p, so they just make the pixels bigger to turn it into a 27” screen. I have two Dell P2416D displays at 2560x1440 and text is very crisp and easy to use.

The displays are a couple of years old now so there might be better options available now but QHD (Quad HD) is a much easier resolution on the eyes than HD.

I'll look out for a) one of those Dells on eBay, and b) head to Currys when able for a QHD (with laptop and dongle in hand!) to try.
