Texting to Android

Good morning Smuggers,

I have an occasional but really annoying problem.

When I send an sms from the messages app to someone who’s on Android (address shows up green) there’s a 50% chance that the message doesn’t go through. The messages app tells me that the message was not delivered. Resending the message doesn’t work, nor does creating a new message.

I’ve looked all over the preferences and menus but I can’t see anything that would block sending.

What I can’t understand is the randomness. It only happens with some adresses, all of the green.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

Do you have low signal strength where you live? Have you enabled wifi calling to push everything over your wifi network?

SMS messaging’s usually reliable but depends on your signal. Have you tried WhatsApp? It’s cross-platform so works very well with Android phones

Thanks for your suggestions Sam. Signal strength here is fine but wifi calling was turned off. I’ve switched in on Time will tell if it makes a difference :)
