Hi lovely SMUGgers,

My partner has a non- internet connected MacBook. Last night there was a power cut or at least a router cut while he was using it. He rebooted the router but he still had no internet and went to bed.

Today, every device in the house can connect to the internet via WiFi except his MacBook. He’s restarted it and also done “forget this network “ and rejoined. WiFi strength is fine but there’s nothing on the end!

I’m sending this from my iPhone on the same network. 👍

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Stephen

Open Applications > Utilities > Terminal > type in the following command and push return >

ping 8.8.8.8

Push ctrl+c to cancel it after around 10 seconds, copy & paste the output into an email. Then enter the following command :

ifconfig

Send over the output from both of those
