I'd really like to use DDG instead of Google for some safer searching. But, is there a command line I can enter into Terminal that would mean it uses DDG and not Google when I search in the address bar (a really quick and handy feature)? And also, to command line to go back to Google should I prefer?
Thanks Tony, yes I have that, but was keen to hack into the Address Bar search rather than clutter the window.

Where do I FIND the DDG extension settings??!

Hmm, am I missing something here? I can make it add its own little bar to the menu bar, but can't make Safari search with DDG automatically when I just start typing in the address bar?
I thought the little bar added to the menu bar WAS the solution! I was really pleased with it ...!!Andrew
These are the settings I have which means that typing a search ion the Address Bar uses DDG.

You do have to enable the extension which I have disabled for the moment. On 15 Mar 2014, at 09:37, mac98aop <adamp...@gmail.com> wrote:Hmm, am I missing something here?
