Problem opening a Word document

Hello Smuggers

I’ve started having problems opening some Word documents.

When I click on the first message I received the second message.

Word for Mac 16.49    OS 11.5.1

Any help very gratefully received.

er, did you try selecting the file and granting access? When I get these, it changes to 'Grant Access' once I've selected the item in question.

I usually get it with folders but that's how it works here.

If that doesn't work, I'd try opening it in Pages;)

I think there’s an update available for both macOS and word, check and see. I usually find restarting helps when getting that message in word.
