Using the eSim

Good morning everyone

Does anybody have any experience with using the iPhone eSim for a work number, to save carrying two devices.

My requirements would ideally enable me to:

- Make and receive calls from either number (I know that works)

- Send and receive SMS/iMessage from either number (doable?)

- Send and receive WhatsApps from either number (as above?!)

- Ideally to have both numbers as options to send/receive SMS/iMessage/WhatsApp from macOS desktop Apps as I do a lot of that.

Anybody got any user experience. I fear I'll simply just get a cheap old second phone but would prefer to put tech to use if it's possible.
