I have installed all the latest software.  Yosemite on my Mac Mini and iOS 8 on iPad and iPhone.  iCloud Drive is on for everything.  The first spreadsheet I uploaded to iCloud Drive appears in iCloud but does not update to any changes made on my Mac Mini after uploading to iCloud and therefore not reflected in iOS 8.  I have turned iCloud on/off, restarted my Mac Mini and nothing has worked so far.  What have I missed?  Otherwise getting used to Yosemite and quite like some of the changes.

I tried an experiment after I posted this.  I made an alteration to the spreadsheet in iOS on my iPhone.  This alteration has now appeared on my iPad and in iCloud (via Safari).  The alteration has not appeared on my Mac Mini!  I therefore conclude that iOS and iCloud are working but not OS X Yosemite link to iCloud. Hope this gives a clue.

What folders and documents, if any, do you see under "iCloud Drive" in a Finder window on your Mac Mini?

Do you have Numbers on your Mac?

Hi,

Yes I do have Numbers on my Mac and is the latest version.  Before I deleted the spreadsheet from iCloud I could see it from Finder but it never updated in line with alterations on my Mac so I gave up to avoid confusion as I mainly use my Mac for spreadsheets.

Did you actually sign out of iCloud on everything and switch off and reboot then sign in? Apple support had me do that to sort an iCloud issue which fixed it.

iCloud Drive does work!
Human element at my end was the problem I forgot the difference between Duplicates and Aliases.
