Ventura Print Dialogue Options are rather complicated?!

Morning all
Is it just me or has it become incredibly convoluted (multiple clicks and window panes) to print a document. The window is vast, scrollable and opens separate windows, simply to ask for double sided and other tweaks.
Am I doing something wrong? Or which tecchie in Cupertino thought that was a good idea?! It's horrid!
