I think it is pretty clear that you can use Camo with other apps, not
just Zoom. You may need some additional steps in the Camo Studio app to
integrate Camo with the video chat app of choice. There is a long
status list of apps that have been shown to work with Camo on their web
site.

Importantly it doesn't work with FaceTime or Safari which may be a
consideration.

I wouldn't put it in the 'just plug it in and it works' class but for
the already integrated video chat apps it is pretty close.

And with a recent iPhone the image and speech quality are definitely
very good.

Yes, everyone is welcome to spend a fair bit of time discovering that
this doesn't actually work on your machine;)

They are explicitly fragile workarounds and none of them have worked on
either of my machines so I was simplifying it to 'if you use zoom,
you're good'. The picture is far better than eg iPad or laptop because
it uses the iPhone camera:)

But yes, you have to start Camo on both, then Zoom picks it up reliably.
