No alerts

Hi Smuggers. Can somebody advise me? My iPhone 10 no longer alerts me when messages, what’s apps or emails arrive. Before the recent update, there was a sounds feature in Settings under general. It is no longer there. Any ideas how I turn the pings on again? Virginia

Hello Virginia,

Review ‘Settings > Sounds & Haptics’ and make sure the sounds there are set as you wish.

Next, check ‘Settings > Notifications’ , review the general settings at the top and then scroll down to review the individual settings for each app of interest.

Finally, ensure that you don’t have a Focus mode active which is blocking those Notifications and also check that your iPhone isn’t on Silent and/or Do Not Disturb.
