HP printer and toner cartridges

Hi folks,

Long story but we have two full HP laser printer cartridges for a dead
colour laser printer which I disposed of. They are black '201a' and
'201x'. We need a printer again but only b/w. I've been trying to
reverse engineer which laser printer uses these to no avail. Does anyone
know how I can match HP printers to toners? Their website offers all the
information but not a systematic list I can find, and there's the usual
mash of slightly different numbers for products.

Or if anyone knows a good shop I can ring up and order from, that'd be
fine too!

we don't really want to buy a printer then spend a fortune on cartridges
when these are sitting here...
