Hi Smuggers, any ideas how I can remove duplicates from my online address book (iPad, iPhone and MacBookPro)? In some cases, names have been duplicated 10 times.

Open the Contacts app on the Mac and go to the Card menu > Check for Duplicates, should do it

Thank you Sam. My address book recently reproduced itself in quadruplicate. I was gearing up to delete the duplicates card by card. Instead, all done in about 15 seconds !

UnfortunatelyMacBook hasnt synced with my iPad. On MacBook Pro 7 duplicates were found but on iPad there are still whole pages. See screenshot :

Check iCloud is logged in on all devices and Contacts is enabled. Perhaps on the iPad switch off Contacts syncing, selecting to delete contacts from the iPad, then turn it back on again and it’ll download from iCloud
