Hello everybody.

I'm having an intermittent start-up problem on a Mac Studio running OS X
13.7.6.

I get the start-up bong, but then the Mac goes no further. So far I've
been fixing it by unplugging from the mains and plugging back in.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Best,

Jonathan.

Unplugging the power cable resets the SMC. If you’re having to do this regularly I’d book it in with the Genius Bar to have the logicboard assessed.

You can reboot holding the D key on the keyboard to boot into hardware diagnostics, that might be able to give you an indicator if there’s a hardware issue

Also try upgrading to Sonoma if possible, it might include a firmware update which could help
