Hello all

HNY!

I use the free version of 1Blocker in Safari, whilst it recently flagged I need to update to newest version via the App Store. When I do so, I get the attached request to sign in to my Apple ID - it's just I've never seen that window before, with that folder icon etc, and it doesn't look quite right for an macOS request, so wanted to check it's legit before I type in my password?!?!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Adam

If that’s within the App Store app, should be fine to log in. You could use App Store > Store menu > Sign In instead, that will make sure it’s an official process

Thanks, Sam. And that's why I'm a little twitchy, as when I go to Store>Sign in, I'm already signed in!

I can't think why this App is asking me to sign in again, and using a rather odd window/icon arrangement.

Suspicious?

Could the app have been installed under a different Apple ID?

No, sadly not - I've only the one Apple ID. I could contact them, as could then guage their reply and don't suspect the developer but do want to be sure!
