Morning All,

I’m working on a new (used) Mac Mini (Thanks Paul Owen) and this is my first experience of the Monterey OS so I may well  be crying wolf, but anyway. I have my Finder preferences set up to show hard disk icons on the desktop and two Macintosh HD icons have appeared. One is just called Macintosh HD and one is called Macintosh HD - Data. Is this normal or something weird?

That shouldn’t normally show up, it’s part of macOS having a read-only partition for macOS and a separate partition for your data. Finder should combine them into a single disk icon though. 

Try force quitting finder?
