More problems

These updates are infuriating. (iPad Pro 15.6.1) Now I find I can’t access gmail from MacBookPro (12.3.1). I don’t often read emails on the MBP, I use iPad instead, but trying to use printer I have exported the spreadsheet I want to print to an email in order to see if printer works straight from MBP. But now I can’t access gmail from Safari - my usual method. Surely I can’t be the only person being driven bonkers by this update? Help please!

Can you give more details about what happens? Does it refuse to load the page? Reject the password? Simply not update? Could be a lot of things!

Thanks for replying, Jason. Nothing happens. Just sticks with gmail.com in search bar. Infuriating. I’ve looked at System Preferences and all my gmail accounts are listed there. On internet it suggests ‘click Mail, then click Google’. When I do this I get spinning daisy wheel and then “Failed to authenticate with Google. Please try later.” And yes, I have restarted MBP. I’m now wondering if there is a problem with Safari. Just now, I’ve tried a few other websites and it sticks and does not open. Any ideas how I sort out Safari? I’ve closed it down and opened it again but this hasn’t helped. If it is corrupted can I delete it completely and start again?

so - to be clear - the page is entirely blank?

I would try another browser in the first instance. Then we know if it's something about your account or Safari. Have you got Firefox handy? [I don't personally recommend Chrome but am not going to get into a fight about it here!]
