Hi all,

I need a basic webcam for work. I bought one on eBay which has an OK picture but the sound is muffled. Can anyone suggest one with a decent mic?

Cheers,

Stephen

Logitech B525, maybe. I've had no complaints from the users who received them.

Short story: you might find it advertised as relatively low spec (not supporting Full HD 1080p video) with a consequently low price; when truly (according to a test result that I ran, and some of what's in the Wayback Machine) it does support Full HD 1080p video.

Good luck!

ff you're using Zoom, you can use your phone - look up Camo/Camo Studio.

If not Zoom, then you're stuck with logitech;)

But all of them have terrible* sound unless you get expensive. If sound is more important to you (and it is more important, for the most part), I use a Yeti Blue Nano mic which was about 70-80 quid and has superb sound. You can switch sound from the logitech

*I'm fussy. YMMV.

cheers,
J

+1 for Camo. Hugely positive reviews from the tech world, and we're in chats with them about getting us setup here in various settings and their help and support and value for money is highly recommended. The iPhone camera / mic is top quality and ready to be used and at last Camo makes it possible and ideal!

Thanks so much for the heads up on Camo. 🙂 it looks like that’s the answer that’s I’d never heard of!

Silly question but I assume that it uses the phone/iPad mic as well for audio? It doesn’t say much on their web page.
