Hello. Following my failed attempt to make a smart socket link to the home app, does anyone have a brand that they have bought which does connect easily and reliably to the iPhone home app?

I want very much to be able to control a couple of table lamps using Siri and the home app. So if I could find a brand and a source for this I would be so grateful.

Thank you

Andrew.

Under Accessories > Home the Apple Store list a lot of compatible options. Example below. Better prices often found elsewhere!

I’d check out the Meross light bulbs and smart sockets which are HomeKit compatible. Remember you need a HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV to act as the hub for the Home app.

Regards,

Tony

I use various Meross and Eve products with Homekit without any problem.  My mini pods act as hubs.
Eve are specifically made for Homekit and now feature Thread/Matter connectivity.

We have two Wemo sockets which work very well but I’m not sure if they are still available. They use our Minipod as the hub.

Thanks everyone for your help. I bought 2x Meross plugs and 1 iPod mini. And it’s all working! It was, in the end, quite straightforward and I’m delighted.

Thank you again

Andrew.
