Substitute for Text Edit

Somewhere I saw someone complaining that with the newest 'upgrade' we can no longer click on Pages or TextEdit and have a simple page open  - instead it directs you to the 'Cloud' & if you want the file on your desktop it involves a couple more steps. A while back, I downloaded a free word processing program called Bean - just out of curiosity. It seemed to work fine but I really didn't use it - till NOW - I use it consistently instead of Text Edit - quick, easy & reliable. If you want to check it out go here:
