I have been using Mobile steam app and got authenticated since January, after the new updates on system "March 9", I am getting trade holds for 15 days, but I knew I am already mobile authenticated since Jan. On march 10 or 11, I tried to remove and re-authenticated on steam app, guessing i need to ,because of the update. After weeks and up to now, I am still getting trade hold for 15 days.
I looked on forums and reddit about this.I got this. "activate both options "Trade confirmations" and "Community market confirmations".but I don't have this options on my privacy settings both on my Chrome browser, steam client and steam app. I can't find anything about this.

I had the same issue as well. My problem was the confirmations on my mobile authenticator were being sent to my email address instead of my phone. You can change that on your phone through the Mobile Guard settings, and set it to have confirmations sent to your phone. After you do that, remove the listing of the item you want to sell and then put it back up. You will then have a confirmation sent to your phone and you can create the listing there and there will not be anything put on hold.

I just tried trading with someone for CS:GO keys.
I put the keys up to trade and see an error notification saying because I either:
-Haven't had Steam mobile guard enabled for 7 days (I don't use it)
-Turned off email confirmation (I've never turned this off)
Both you and the person you're trading with need to have Steam Mobile Authentication to remove this escrow feature. Valve decided to implement this to combat trade fraud/scam. The action of a few make it a pain in the butt for everyone else.
That's what I thought but it doesn't seem to be the case... Someone sent me 2 csgo keys a couple of days ago so I could get him a game from the Canadian store. I'm not using the app and I got the keys instantly in my inventory.
The guy sent a trade offer instead of inviting me to trade through the chat window... not sure if that makes any difference. Yeah it's weird but I'm not complaining. ;)

Traded with a person earlier who regularly offers card trades to me. They don't have the authenticator but they are only held for 24 hours. I think that's because they use email notification + we've been friends for more than 1 year.
Just tried to trade with my alt. account and have to wait 72 hours. The alt account also doesn't have the authenticator, does use email notifications and has been my friend for over a year. No difference as far as I can see yet I have to wait longer on one for some reason. Also, when trading with the alt. I wasn't asked to confirm on my mobile.
I just tried to activate the steam mobile authenticator so I could trade some cards and craft badges. It didn't recognise the codes it sent me by SMS and then completely locked me out of my account and then told me to contact Steam and go through the account recovery process. Which I have just completed, but now I have a total trade block for 7 days because of the account recovery process.
I just had to go through a similar problem.
I activated it, then it said I couldn't receive confirmations on this device, only the device the authenticator is on, literally minutes after making that device the mobile authenticator.
So then I had to remove it using the 1 time code they sent me.
The code wasn't recognized.
So I had to remove the authenticator (whichever it believed it to be) using the SMS option
I then had to make my phone the mobile authenticator a second time and it seems to be working now.
