hi all,
yes it is due today, he wants a hard copy and a soft copy.

I've attached what we have so far, we already have 16 pages, (but that is including the exhibits). -- and does someone know how to put a page number but not on the title page?...

I think it looks pretty good and did what I can to make sure the parts are woven together in a comprehensible way.

Get back to me in the next hour, (by 3:30pm please, I have a meeting and would like to email the paper to Crane before I leave).

Will he notice no enterprise analysis?...

and I wasn't given the discount factor we used to arrive at the NPV...  -- do you guys think he will care?

Hey guys,

here's the paper with page numbers except for the first page. I don't think it's a big deal that our enterprise analysis isn't there as he can refer to our slides in the presentation for that if needed. It would be nice to have in the paper though.

Jenny,

Great job putting this together!  Were you planning to print a copy to hand in to Crane?

Jenny,

Sorry about that.  I didn't put the NPV discount rate in my assumptions.  Can you put 9.5% discount rate based on the industry standard of the peer companies?

I think we need to have the enterprise piece.  I know Chris was working on it and must be near completion of it (he had the outline done).  Chris can you please give us a status?

Regards,
Son

I think we do need an enterprise analysis... that was one fo the key
items that he listed. Plus The other analysis (competitor, industry,
etc.) don't really make sense without the base of an enterprise
analysis since the whole project is about Smucker's. I don't know
what to do about this... No one can get in touch with Chris?

Hope this works, I tried to just do it, but my version of Word is
different at work and messed things up.

hi everyone,
Ok, this is what I'm gonna do, I'll go ahead and write what we have from the slides (which, a lot of is already in the intro anyway), add in the discount rate we used to get 9.5%, (I'm presuming something about 3% inflation and then taxes and then growth after that lands us at 9.5%)

and as for the page numbers, I'm sorry Huy that I wasn't clear, I was trying to get numbers on the pages that have writing (ie: the first page of our report is #1 etc) and not count the title page so that we fall under the 15 page limit -- but really, it's ok.. we are coming against a time crunch.

Michelle -- thanks, I will try adding #'s that way.

and yes, I will print and give him a copy as well as email a copy to him.

How does that sound?

Thanks,
Jenny

Hey guys,
I'm really sick and had to leave town, but I've got my indusrtry analysis on a flash drive back at my house. I'll be there in maybe half an hour, and I'll send it out then

I thought that Caroline did the industry analysis and Chris was doing
the enterprise analysis? Hopefully just wrote the wrong word.

Hope you feel better Chris - if you're really sick maybe you should
email Crane and see if we can turn the paper in tomorrow. It totally
depends on how you feel or what you feel comfortable with, but I don't
want you stressing about it if you don't feel well and that's a valid
excuse.

I agree with Michelle, if you aren't feeling well maybe we can get some more time.

although, I do have most of the data ready, I'll send it back out in a few minutes and see how you guys feel about it.

Hi all,

Jenny thank you for putting this together. I think that we definitely
need an Enterprise Analysis as well. Chris, I’m sorry to hear you
aren’t feeling well, please send the section when you get home.

I thought we were going to add an addendum with our questions and
answers for the Smucker’s consumers/non consumers, should we add that
piece in?

Also, what are the group’s thoughts on added the Innovation Screening
Grid and Innovation Heuristic?

Thanks,
Caitlin

I read the first portion of the paper and it seems like you have some of the enterprise analysis in there already Jenny.  If you take more from the PPT, I think it could pass as acceptable (you might be in process of doing it already).

Also, I think we should include the full set of questionaires we did.  It shows that we actually did some field work.  Attached is the questionaire in pdf form and I labeled it as Exhibit G (Exhibit section should start with its own from the top of the page).  You can include the pdf in the very end (it might be worth to reference Exhibit G in the body of the paper too).

hi all,
here is the final v.2 (without Chris' section yet)

re: the questions -- I tried to get that into an organized way but the excel file was a little large and it showed that we had some holes in our research, so I thought it would be better to omit rather than to point to our deficiencies.  He has a copy of or PPT from last week which has our innovations so I think that covers that part.

Let me know what you think and I will print a final out.  I can wait till about 430 for Chris, but my property manager is supposed to come for a meeting, she texted and said she's running late...

(we are at 13 pages not including the exhibits), 17 pages with.

Thanks,
Jenny

Jenny,
Oh well, we didn't put the 9.5% discount rate in the NPV assumptions.  At least I didn't find it.  I guess it is not a big deal.
