preparing for Charlotte

Dear all,

 

In a little more a week, the SMT Interest Group on Improvisation will hold its third annual meeting.

                                                                                            

Date: Saturday November 2nd

Time: 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Location: Tryon

 

I invite everyone to respond to this email with suggestions for the meeting agenda. Chris Stover and I will describe a session to be produced in conjunction with SMT Jazz at AMS/SMT 2014 in Milwaukee. Additional proposals for special sessions, panels, poster sessions, etc., at upcoming conferences are most welcome. Please email me if you want to reserve a place on the agenda to discuss your ideas.

 

I also want to include in the agenda an opportunity for SMT Improvisation members to talk about their current research, from recent publications to projects still in the early stages.

 

Finally, we will need to nominate and elect officers for 2013-14.

 

I look forward to your responses, and to our meeting in Charlotte.
