Hope you are in good health and things are fine otherwise
If you remember a few of the first year students wanted to know more about advertising and its prospects.
I met 2 of them in the school and discussed various aspects of advertising.
One of them, santhosh got in touch with me later for an internship with an ad agency.
I contacted my ex boss who in turn spoke to a senior person in ots advertising.
Ots is a big and well established agency in hyd n has ex o&m n jwt pple heading it n they work on several big accounts.
They met santhosh n offered him an internship with stipend.  He was to report directly to a senior person and had a lot of scope to learn.
However santhosh went for only a day n stopped going after that without any explanation or prior notice.
I'm sure he had a valid reason but it reflects very poorly on the school.  Moreover it puts my reputation at stake n it would b difficult for me to refer others. The person to whom my boss referred him was a close friend of my boss so for him too it was a personal favour.
Incidents like this discourage us from helping students n creates a bad image of sms students in the industry.
I have nothing against santhosh. Just wanted to keep you informed as student-industry interactions like this have long standing impacts n need to be treated with respect.
