SMShare is fab!
It's a very smooth interface to my smartphone and the people I
contact.

But I have not figured out how the contacts get into my Dashboard
list.
Should my gmail contacts go straight to the list, or do I have to do
some other step to import them?

Hi

You just need to allow smshare to access your contacts from your
dashboard on www.smshare.fr (Profile page).

Smshare will then retrieve your contacts that belong to "my contacts"
group (see gmail -> contacts)

Btw, we retrieve the first 1000 contacts and we show only those with
at least one phone number available.

Please tell me if you still have the problem.

Best regards,
Reda

I have allowed access, and have a list via SMShare.
But I have only 40 total contacts, and less than have with phone
numbers.
I am adding new contacts, but they do not show up in the smshare
listing.
So it looks like an update mechanism is needed.
That's why I wondered about importing.
thanks for your help with this.

SMSshare does not show up on the gmail auhorisation page at
https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens

There is no listing, yet I can send SMS via SMShare.
It is in a space warp of some kind that does not update my google
contacts, but does have access somehow to something, yet does not
allow me to revoke access.

this is a mystery....

By any chance, do you have several Google accounts?

Yes, about ten!

Does SMSshare pick the first one on the list in that case?

Ok, so smshare has authorization to access contacts that are
associated with the bad account.

Here is the correct flow you have to do to get your contact in
smshare:

- Open a new browser window and go to www.google.com
- If you are logged in Google, logout from Google.
- Now log in Google using your Google account that has all of your
contacts. That's the one that when you go to Gmail -> contacts -> my
contact you see all of your contacts.
- Go to http://smshare.fr/account/profile.html and allow smshare to
access your contacts.
- Follow the OAuth workflow and that's it.

So, keep in mind that for the moment with your smshare account, you
can associate only one google account.

Cheers,

Aha!
Thank you!

So SMShare associates itself with the google account that's active at
the time of connection?
So I only nede to go through each accont to see which one is
authorising access, and remove it.
Then log in with the account I want to associate.

Sounds good. Will try that.

Now smshare inform you about the associated Google account. Just go to
the profile page and check there. Revoking access is also possible
from the profile page.
