I recently upgraded my Sprint HTC Hero to 2.1. I had used SMS Popup
on 1.5 and absolutely loved it. It makes texting much quicker and is
lightweight.

The issue I'm having is that because we can only view one message at a
time in the popup I will Quick Reply to that message, and if there is
another message the popup will go away. When this happened (as
intended) on 1.5 I could go up to the notification for that SMS, click
the notification and go to the thread and view the message I had
gotten and respond. For some reason, either with the switch to 2.1 or
a change to the app itself, in 2.1 when I use that notification it
takes me simply to the compose screen with the sender already entered
into the "To:" field. This wouldn't be a huge problem if it weren't
for the fact that I more than likely have no idea what that message
completely says.

Thanks.

Are you saying the notification tray icon is directing you to a blank
compose message (in the system messaging app) rather than the actual
messaging thread?

Can you try this: SMS Popup -> Additional Settings -> Button
Configuration -> try setting a button to "Reply" and seeing if that
helps. If not, then try setting a button to "Reply (to phone number)"
and see if that helps.

I know this seems strange, but there are basically two ways to "reply"
to a message using the system app (to the "message thread" and to the
"person"). HTC Sense UI phones handle these two types slightly
differently. As there is no setting for which one is triggered by the
pull-down notification, I fetch this from the popup button settings.
