I just downloaded this app on my HTC Hero (Sprint verison) and I
really like the functionality. I disabled the notifications in the
messaging client, so I'm only getting the notifications from SMS
Popup. When I hit close, the notification goes away and the message
shows as read in my inbox. However, on my home screen, the icon for
the messaging client is still badged as one unread message. The only
way I can make this go away is to send myself a message, then go to
the inbox and read it. Is there anyway to fix this on my end, or is
this a bug with the Hero?
Thanks so much!
Chelsea
Unfortunately this is a known issue with HTC phones that run the HTC
Sense UI (like the Hero):

There is no fix at this time as HTC do not offer a way to refresh the
desktop icon. What I might add to SMS Popup at some point is its own
desktop icon that contains the unread count so you would be able to
use that instead and have it refresh correctly.
