What’s the update on this? I have to say, I haven’t found yet good speakers for the Aging café but today I met the perfect person for the Nanotechnology.

You probably mentioned her name already, but we should contact Laura Lechuga (Prof. Nanobionsensors Group CIN2)…she gave a very interesting scientific talk and apparently she loves these kind of activities for the general public J

here a summary of our meeting of today:

 

the next round of cafes will be: march / april / may / june

 

the topics will be: - Nanotecnology (Roser + ... )

                          - Epidemiology (Eli + ... )

                          - Aging (Michela + ... )

                          - Personalized medicine (Antonios + Andrea + Rob)

 

If you want to join any of the people above in order to help them in organizing the cafes it would be fantastic!

 

Next meeting:  Wednesday 17th of February at 13:00 - reception 5th floor

 

Agenda: - see where we can do the nexts cafes

              - money (should we write again a project at the PRBB/CRG level?)

              - report the progress done in contacting speakers

The April cafe on epidemiology seems to have the 3 speakers aleady, and almost sure about the date -I don't know if Miquel Porta has replied about the proposed date, which is ok for the other 2, but he was quite happy to be in our cafe.

Could we meet to talk about the next cafes? I am sorry but  I was out of the CRG the last meeting and I I would need some information to manage the budget, payments and spreading.

Do we need to design some posters and cards? Should we book a Centre Civic or Biblioteca? Do we need a catering there?

How about a short meeting tomorrow or on thursday?
